Dear Ladies,

We are please to finalized the conference schedule.

Print out the attachment of the final schedule and this letter to take with you to the conference. The information below is to help you prepare for your stay in the beautiful "City of Roses" Portland, Oregon.

Hotel rooms--There are still king beds available, so be sure to get your room as soon as possible!

Here are 3 easy steps to follow:

1) Call Red Lion Hotel 503-283-4466

2) For triple (3 people) the rate is $119

For quadruple (4 people) the rate is $129

3) Give them the hotel the conference code:

   DEAF WOMEN UNITED

Transportation--The Red Lion has a shuttle bus service from approximately 6am to 10pm daily, however, you may want to call the hotel to reserve a shuttle and make sure you have transportation to the airport. With advance notice, they may accommodate you, even if is outside of their normal shuttle hours. The best way to get your shuttle is when you arrive-text them at: 503-764-6950. The pick up is outside the baggage claim area at island #3 hotel shuttles. However, if you get a cab and since the hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport, the cab ride should be relatively inexpensive.

Hotel Roommates--DWU has set up a message forum for those of you who are looking for roommates. Go to:http://dwuconferenceroommates.messageforums.net/

And at the top of the forum, click register.  Once you register, you can access the forum to post messages asking for roommates.  DWU and DWOW are not responsible for any arrangements made for roommates during the conference.

Clothing--Remember that Oregon weather can be unpredictable. Expect between 75-80 degree weather, but bring a light jacket and a pair of slacks for the evenings.

Conference Schedule-- see the final schedule under DWU 2009 Conference.
