Mission Statement
The mission of Deaf Women of Oregon
and Washington is to increase
the number of resources and the
networking, socialization, education,
leadership, and empowerment opportunities
of deaf, deaf-blind, hard of hearing
and late-deafened women in Oregon
and Washington.
DWOW's
Primary Goals
- Host
the Oregon Assocation of the
Deaf (OAD) biennial conference.
We will be workling closely
with OAD to provide Oregon with
a conference in Portland, Oregon
- Continue
to support deaf women in business,
or with unique goals of achievement
- Work
collaboratively with other organizations
by fundraising the events for
Deaf Women United (DWU) 2009
conference
How
you can help us?
Once you become a member, you
are welcome to attend DWOW meetings,
participate in the committees
and/or activities, or fundraise
the event to support the upcoming
DWU 2009 conference. We seek your
ideas on activities and workshops
that encourage personal growth.
